"Worthy is the lamb of the reward of his suffering"

Why is it that we take for granted the relationships that are most important to us? Even as a child i remember the neglect that i shared with the ones that I loved... Its because of closeness that we do these things... the fact that those people love us in return any way, and we know it. I distinctly remember a time when i was in high school and my youth group went on a trip to a theme park. My Dad volunteered to go as a leader and i remember seeing him a couple times that day walking alone, instead of inviting him to join in the fun i avoided him. I knew that he would still love me just the same and that he would still give me a ride home and provide for my needs as his son. There are several instances like this that i remember growing up, but in hindsight i see the love that it takes to care for some one who works to avoid you. Some times it comes as second nature others times it takes work, but the love that Jesus has for us is just the same.
We claim him when it is convenient, when it is expected or fitting but how many of us cast him aside or even slander what it is that he came here for. We neglect the one that loves us so much more than we understand just for social unity among peers. Its time that we no longer deny him for who he is for we are lucky that he does not recognize us for who we truly are. In our nature we are sinners, in His nature he is a savior.

2 Timothy 2:11-13
"This is a trustworthy saying:
If we die with Him, we will also live with Him.
If we endure hardship, we will reign with Him
If we deny Him, He will deny us.
If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is."

Jesus is worthy of more than just Sunday mornings, He's paid for more than just a few hours a week, a single drop of his perfect blood is worth a lifetime of sacrifice, dedication, and love. So embrace this message and give him the attention and love that he deserves.
"Worthy is the lamb of the reward of his suffering"
